I help run PeekLaunch, so this is a first-party look. I still opened both sites the way a founder would: pricing, FAQ, and how each board describes itself. Facts below were checked on 6 Nov 2026. Confirm live pages before you pay, because launch plans move.
If you are choosing PeekLaunch or CodeHype, you already know you want a launch board. The real question is fit: cadence, Free rules, paid unlocks, and whether you can run both.
CodeHype fits if you want a scheduled launch date, a catalog aimed at SaaS and AI products, and a site that says every launch still goes through human review. Plus is $15 one-time. Pro is $25 one-time.
PeekLaunch fits if you want a weekly launch board with a published Free seat cap, clear Visit link rules, and paid starting at Premium for $9 one-time. Premium+ is $19 one-time. We talk about discovery with real users, Google, and AI search tools. We do not promise rankings, traffic, or AI citations.
For a wider Product Hunt alternative overview we already published: PeekLaunch: A Free Product Hunt Alternative for Indie Makers. This post stays on CodeHype vs PeekLaunch only.

CodeHype describes scheduled launches for SaaS and AI products, with discovery afterward through feeds, directories, categories, and comparison pages. Its pricing page says every launch still goes through human review, and paid plans do not skip that review.
PeekLaunch is a weekly product launch board. You create a listing, pick an ISO week, and get a public product page. The site positions itself around launching for Google and AI discovery, with Free as the starting path. After launch week, live listings can stay in the catalog and related pages while they remain published.
Both Free plans use a badge before the product-page outbound link is treated as dofollow. PeekLaunch Free also accepts an allowed link to your product page as proof.
PeekLaunch Free is capped at 25 seats per week. Verify first, then the listing can go live when a seat is open. Product-page Visit can be dofollow after that check passes.
CodeHype Free also ties dofollow to a verified badge while it stays on your site. Their pricing FAQ says they re-check about every 3 days. The Product Hunt alternative page and Free FAQ describe a standard queue, limited daily slots, and a waiting period. The Free plan card also lists Instant publish, but it is struck through and marked with an X, meaning that feature is not included. CodeHype does not publish the exact waiting time or daily slot count. Plus is the plan that clearly markets instant publish with no waiting period, while all launches still go through human review.
CodeHype Plus ($15): Instant publish, no waiting period, no badge required, permanent dofollow, premium badge, priority placement. Still human-reviewed.
CodeHype Pro ($25): Everything in Plus, plus 7 days featured on the homepage, 2 additional backlinks, a 1,500-word dedicated blog, and priority support.
PeekLaunch Premium ($9): Skip the Free seat cap for that product, dofollow Visit without a badge, gold card, custom SEO fields, and a Monday newsletter feature. On the homepage board, Premium and Premium+ sit above Free. Within each group, order is votes, then comments, then oldest. Week archives use votes, then comments, then Premium as a tie-break.
PeekLaunch Premium+ ($19): Everything in Premium, plus a /blog story of about 1,000 to 1,800 words with 4 or more dofollow links to your site when the listing goes live, a Medium post, the top newsletter spot, and shares on X and Threads.
Free on both sides: a followed product-page link depends on keeping verify proof in place.
Paid on both sides: the product-page link can stay dofollow without the Free badge path.
PeekLaunch also publishes that board and week-archive Visit links stay nofollow on every plan. CodeHype's pages I opened focus on product-page dofollow and do not document board-card rel attributes in the same detail, so I left that blank.
Pick the board for who might see you and how the week works. A followed Visit link is a listing rule, not a ranking guarantee.
Yes, you can. CodeHype says it can sit alongside Product Hunt. PeekLaunch's why page makes the same point: another channel, not a copy of Product Hunt, and no promise of the same traffic.
A practical stack: Product Hunt for a classic launch-day crowd if you want it, PeekLaunch for a weekly board with published Free and Premium rules, CodeHype for a scheduled, human-reviewed SaaS or AI listing. Stagger dates so you are not asking the same people to show up twice in one day.
CodeHype when a scheduled date, human review, and an AI/SaaS-heavy catalog matter more. PeekLaunch when a weekly board, a 25-seat Free path, and paid from $9 fit better. Neither guarantees traffic.
Both need verify proof for a dofollow product-page link. PeekLaunch Free also requires verify before go-live and caps Free at 25 seats per week. CodeHype Free uses a queue with limited daily slots and a waiting period; the site does not publish the exact wait or slot count. Free “Instant publish” is struck through on the plan card, while Plus includes instant publishing.
As of 6 Nov 2026: CodeHype Plus $15 and Pro $25; PeekLaunch Premium $9 and Premium+ $19. All one-time per product. Paid mainly removes Free limits, changes link and placement rules, and on the top tiers adds content and featured exposure.
Free is badge-gated (PeekLaunch Free also accepts product-page link proof). Paid keeps product-page dofollow without that Free badge path. PeekLaunch board and archive links stay nofollow on all plans.
Yes. Treat them as different surfaces. None replaces the others by itself.
If the product is clearly AI or developer-facing and I care about a fixed date plus human review, I would shortlist CodeHype and compare Plus versus Pro on their pricing page.
If I want a weekly cohort, a known Free seat rule, and a cheaper paid unlock, I would shortlist PeekLaunch and compare Free, Premium, and Premium+ on our pricing page.
Then I would re-check both pages the morning I submit.
