Musiqly shows one ad per session, and it comes up when the app opens. After that, the music plays. Musiqly is a free music player for Android and a music streaming app in one, so you can stream songs and play the music files on your phone with no account and no sign up.
On first open, the app asks for storage access so it can find the MP3, FLAC or WAV files already on your phone. Then you can browse your own library or search for a song, artist, album or playlist to stream. Streamed songs and your own files can go in the same playlist, and you can make as many playlists as you want. When your song ends, autoplay and radio mode keep new music coming, and session restore lets you pick up where you left off.
While a song plays, you can follow synced lyrics that move with the track, or read static lyrics. Double tap the album cover to jump 10 seconds forward or back. You can set playback speed from 0.5x to 2.0x, shape the sound with a 10-band equalizer, and set a sleep timer for 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes or your own time. Music keeps playing when you close the app, and you can control it from the lock screen, the notification or a home screen widget.
Your own files play with no mobile data. Streaming does use data, and you can pick the streaming quality in settings. You can back up your playlists and settings and restore them later. Musiqly runs on Android 7.0 or newer, on phones and tablets.
The free plan streams at 256kbps. Premium plans start from 0.69, and there is also a lifetime plan you pay for once. Premium removes the ad and adds 320kbps streaming, a true AMOLED dark theme, gapless playback, higher quality cover images and loading songs early so they start right away.
There are a few limits to know. You can view song tags but you can't edit them. There's no Chromecast support, and streamed songs can't be saved for offline listening. Playlist import works with M3U and PLS files only. If you need any of those, another player may suit you better.
